“Crip CampA Disability Revolution” is a documentary following youth with disabilities, as their experiences in a welcoming camp community foster their drive to fight for justice in an ableist world. It follows the fight of Judith Heumann, James Lebrecht, and several others through their struggles with being accepted into mainstream politics and society. The documentary unveils their tear-jerking stories in protesting their lack of civil rights, from pursuing changes in public school access to a civil rights bill. A revolutionary story of friendship, passion and bravery, Crip Camp, produced by the Obamas, inspires to never stop fighting for change.
